ONE THOUSAND RATNER COMPANIES' SALONS TEAM UP TO RAISE FUNDS TO HELP IN THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Ratner Family Foundation will match contributions with a $10,000 donation to Passionately Pink for the Cure, a program of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Vienna, VA – September 29, 2011 - Ratner Companies, the largest family owned and operated chain of salons in the country, the parent company of Hair Cuttery, BUBBLES, Salon Cielo, Salon Plaza and Cibu, recognizes the devastating impact Breast Cancer has on women, men and families, and the importance of joining the effort to fight this widespread disease.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month all Ratner Companies' salons will accept contributions from clients and associates and will match funds collected with a $10,000 donation to Passionately Pink for the Cure, a program of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Redken, Sebastian. Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Matrix, TiGi, It's a Ten and OPI have also joined the cause by making donations to Passionately Pink for the Cure, The American Cancer Society, City of Hope and the Christina Applegate Foundation, in support of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness of and find a cure for breast cancer. In addition, select salons will be selling pink feathers-the newest hair trend-and will donate a portion of the proceeds to Passionately Pink for the Cure.
